That hatchback life, that is.
We got the Fit last Tuesday, this weekend she went to her Mom’s, got 42.7 MPG on the drive there, and then on Saturday she had to help out with an engagement party. Which meant loading up the car with party stuff, and her 3 sisters. Now she understands why I love hatchbacks so much.
Also it just looks so much better than the old Chevy(aka currently my car till the VR4 is a daily drive-able)

I have moved three times with my car (all during college) and each time I was able to fit all of my belongings (aside from my bed) in the car. Hatchbacks rock.

I think you meant moved...
At first I thought you were saying you made love with your car three times in college. hahaha

I have loved my Fit since I bought it 5 years ago. You can cram a lot of stuff into one!

Damn iPhone. Yeah I meant moved. Haven’t ever “loved” in this car, interestingly enough. LOL

The first night we had the Fit I asked my wife if we should do it in the back... she said no, but she will say yes... someday.

Hatchbacks are good but wagons are better. Up until my marriage I could fit everything I owned (in two trips, because bike and futon) in my Volvo wagon. During college everything fit in just one load.

I would have loved a wagon. My neighbor recently bought a white V90 and I drool over it almost every day.
Who wouldn’t want this (my wife, that who). She’s still very “I want to look cute” not “I want to look practical while sitting in luxury”

That looks like fun. The back of the Fit is allllmost long enough for me to lay down, but not quite. But I could camp out in it for a few nights if need be.

I slept in it three nights on the way out to Washington State. It was like a mini RV

AWESOME! that was on my list of potential cars. It was not on my wife’s. “wagons are ugly” she said. “outbacks are lesbian cars” she said. And I was like but XT? it has turbo? What about a Legacy GT?
Mostly she wanted a shorter car. She is a nervous driver, and being smaller makes everything easier behind the wheel. I get that I loved my 91 Civic hatch BECAUSE it’s size made it nimble and easy. I never had to think about maneuvering that car.

Hey, even if your wife isn’t in Accord with your rules, Civic to you, or a Pilot in the bedroom, at least she’s Fit!
Damn, that marriage would be one hell of an Odyssey. I’d get my Passport in order and move to a house on the Ridgeline to Escape! (Wait, not that last one.)

The Outback’s never felt big to me, but admittedly I spend a lot of time driving stuff that’s truly big, so that may skew my perception.

This must be a Prelude for what’s to come. But who really knows all of the Elements of their marriage... Someone must have the Insight

yup, it’s my wife’s first car. she’s had it for about 6 years. I hate it, but it has been reliable a cheap to own.

Sounds like mine. Kind of hate it now. But so cheap and so reliable. Saving up for something better ha.

You know I tried to get her into an Element. She wanted one really bad when she was like 16, but when we had a chance to drive one at a dealership, she said it looked to “sporty” which doesn’t mean sporty like we think it means. To her it mean a car that a sporty girl drives, when she goes hiking, with a kayak on the roof, and a mountain bike on the back.
